Non-Climategate

So, there was a lot of fuss in the media recently about the “Climategate” scandal, with stolen emails flying all over the media. Then there was the fuss about the IPCC report – there were a few mistakes in a huge report, anyone surprised? For some reason, the following information didn’t seem to feature so largely in the media…

If the media aren’t willing to give the truth as loud a platform as the sensationalist spin they put on the story to start with, how are we (or more generally the public) supposed to make informed decisions about the events we’re seeing in the news?
